How do I cut video files?
When you have a video file, you can use it in your videos. However, you may want to cut a part of the video. Cutting a video is simple, and you can do it with almost all video players. Here are some ways to quickly cut a video.
- Use Video Editing Software
Video editing programs have this feature built in. The software will let you select a section of the video and then chop it off so that the rest remains intact. If you don't have such software, you can use other editing tools instead such as Windows Movie Maker or iMovie to do this task. The only issue is that these tools are not as powerful as dedicated video editing software so they may not be able to cut videos exactly where you want them cut off.
- Use YouTube's Video Editor
YouTube has its own free editor that lets users trim videos down to size for uploading on its platform as well as other social sites like Facebook and Twitter (where videos are limited to 15 seconds). It also allows users to add annotations and titles so that viewers can skip around within their creations without having to watch from start to finish or jump back if they missed something important earlier on in the clip.
